The Government has requested that Churches in England assist the NHS Test and Trace service by keeping an accurate temporary record of visitors to church premises for 21 days. TMCP and Property Support have created the Methodist Church Test and Trace Record to assist Managing Trustees in keeping this record to assist the NHS Test and Trace service in contact tracing.

This template Methodist Church Test and Trace Record is for use by Managing Trustees who are taking steps to open their building on or after 4th July 2020 for as long as the Government guidelines remain in place.

Please refer to Section D of the "Test and Trace", Data Protection and What you need to do Focus Note for details about how to use the Methodist Church Test and Trace Record and Section C for how to keep the information safe.

Please select whether you wish to download the template Methodist Church Test and Trace Record as a Word or pdf file.

It is recommended that you display a copy of the first page of the record containing the data protection information, next to your record. Alternatively you can use the Methodist Church Test and Trace Record – Data Protection Poster. This poster is available to download  in Word or PDF format..

Updates to the Methodist Church Test and Trace Record (Record)

It is likely that the Record will need to be developed over time to take account of additional Government information and guidance on exactly what is needed to make the NHS Test and Trace system work. In the meantime, please let us have your comments and suggestions so that we can also take these on board in developing a record and process that is as helpful as possible for Managing Trustees and takes account of the responsibilities under data protection legislation. Please contact TMCP Data Protection.

If Managing Trustees have any queries then please contact TMCP (dataprotection@tmcp.org.uk) for further assistance regarding the Methodist Church Test and Trace Record or general data protection matters and the Conference Office for queries specifically relating to safeguarding or complaints and discipline matters (dataprotection@methodistchurch.org.uk).
