The Charities Engagement Team is hosting two in-person events in Birmingham on behalf of the Charity Commission for faith charities. The seminars are on Basic Financial Management and Managing your Faith Charity.

These events are in-person and take place on Wednesday 26 November (9:30am to 3:30pm) and Tuesday 2 December 2025 (9:30am to 3:30pm).

Why join these Webinars?

Members of Local Church Councils, Circuit Meetings, District Synods and other Managing Trustee bodies are all charity trustees and these seminars are tailored specifically for you. Please take advantage of this opportunity to attend one of these free face-to-face training sessions if you can.

As charity trustees, it is important that Managing Trustees keep updated on the latest guidance, as well as the expectations, legal duties, and best practices placed upon you. Attending training will help you to do this.

2. Managing your Faith Charity– face-to-face event

Date/Time: Tuesday 2 December 2025, 9:30am to 3:30pm

Venue: Birmingham – Millennium Point, Curzon Street, Birmingham, B4 7XG

  • Trustee Duties – your legal responsibilities;

The Charities Engagement Team say that the days will be: “a mix of presentations, interactive exercises, networking opportunities and a chance to ask questions”.

Please note that these are face-to-face events and cannot be attended remotely.
