People often want to provide financial support to the Methodist Church to help the Church to further Mission. One way to continue to support the Mission of the Methodist Church, locally or Connexionally is to leave a bequest or legacy (Gift) to the Methodist Church in your Will.

New guidance is now available on the Bequests page to explain the different ways that people can give Gifts to the Church through a Will. The guidance sets out points to be considered by those wishing to help the Church in this way and where to get help to ensure that the individual’s wishes are carried out.

A new guidance note is also available to describe the different types of Gift and how to leave them including template wording:

Additional guidance on Bequests and Trusts will soon follow including Bequests FAQs, guidance on Trusts and a Model Trust Legacies and Bequests Focus Note. This will explain to Managing Trustees the process that should be followed when they receive a Gift.

If Managing Trustees or their Solicitors would like any further guidance then please do not hesitate to contact TMCP.
