Due to the excellent response we have received to the Article released on the News Hub on Thursday 13th June regarding Trust Training for Managing Trustees the training session due to be held on Wednesday 24th July at 12:00pm is now fully booked.

There are limited spaces remaining for the following sessions:

  • Thursday 8th August at 12:00pm
  • Monday 19th August at 18:30pm

Please note that all the topics listed below will be completely covered at each training session meaning there is no need to attend more than one session. Following feedback from Managing Trustees, each training session will take place via Zoom.  All email invites, together with the link to the Zoom meeting, will be sent the week before the training event is due to take place.

As a quick reminder, the topics due to be covered are:

The different types of trusts;

  • New bequests;
  • The relevant Standing Orders you need to know about;
  • Model Trust Directions.  What are they and why are they needed;
  • Withdrawing funds;
  • The effects of the Charities Act 2022;
  • Merging Churches and
  • Shared churches & LEP’s

If you have yet to register your interest for one of the two remaining dates then please do so, confirming which date you prefer, your role and where you are from, by emailing legal@tmcp.co.uk and copying and pasting into the subject heading the reference in bold below:
NT – MT Trust Training 2024 [TMCP-M-03112-S207165]

If you are unable to make one of the remaining dates, given the popularity of the training sessions, it is proposed to hold at least one additional training session later in the Summer.  Further details will be released in the coming months but if you would still like to take part in the training then please do register your interest and we will contact you with the additional dates.
